B3 is back for 2017 and once again, it’s gonna be rad! Join us the weekend of June 23 – 25 to celebrate the fourth annual B3 Festival – Bikes, Brews & Beats! This three day celebration kicks off summer and encompasses all of Stowe – the best part? Attendance is still free! There is something for everyone – an all ages block party, family friendly events, food and drink specials, live music, epic group rides and more! Village Kick-Off Party
Come join us at Park Street and Main, for the B3 Kick Off Party! DJ Philth and DJ Rekkon kick things off for the weekend starting at 5pm. Tastings from Alchemist, Burlington Juice Company, Green Mountain Distillers, Idletyme Brewery, Laughing Moon Chocolates, Piecasso, Mt. Mansfield Creamery, PK Coffee, Stowe cider, Vermont Peanut Butter and von Trapp Brewing. We’ll be out all day, loggin’ some big miles on as much of Stowe’s singletrack as possible. The ride will end strategically to allow us to sample some of Stowe’s finest purveyors of suds. You’ll need a pass to Trapp’s for this ride which can be purchased before hand (here for SMBC/VMBA members) or day of.

The Jazz collective known as BirdShot LaFunk will be performing a program of great American Standards from Gershwin to Leon Russell at the Green Mountain Inn on Saturday June 11th from 3-5 in the afternoon. The set features local vocalist John Wilson with long time collaborator John LaRouche on chromatic harmonica, Levent Unal on guitar as well as a possible appearance by Stowe native Mike Drury-Wilson.The set list will include numbers from the Frank Sinatra canon like Learning the Blues, I thought about you and Fly Me to the Moon to Moonlight in Vermont to the Bossa Nova and more modern 20th century favorites like a Song for You with BirdShot LaFunk’s version challenging those of Ray Charles, Michael Buble and The Carpenters. John LaRouche will also be a featured performer at Bob Stannard’s Harmonica Summit set for September at the Spruce Peak Performing Art’s Center. Don’t miss your chance to hear his tender side with heartfelt ballads and the great songs of the 20th Century at the Green Mountain Inn on Saturday the 11th.

The United States Air Force Heritage Brass Ensemble are professional Airman-musicians committed to inspiring the American public, communicating Air Force Core Values, and honoring our nation’s veteran and current Airmen through the power of music. Comprised of ten brass players, a percussionist, and vocalist, the ensemble presents a diverse repertoire featuring orchestral transcriptions, patriotic favorites, jazz standards, new compositions and distinctive arrangements.
